HydroDADS(Hydrodynamic Drives, Analysis & Design Software)
HydroDADS software is specifically developed for design and analysis of torque-converters and hydraulic couplings. HydroDADS has three separate module of Design, Grid Generation and CFD analysis.
Design process is according to the SAE standard for hydraulic couplings. User of the software enters required parameters of the hydraulic coupling such as number of component's blades, input torque, entrance and exit angles, etc. according to the entered data user can receive designed model of torque-converter in TECPLOT or Mechanical Desktop extended formats.
3D grid of designed model can be obtained in Grid Generation module of the software. Grid Generation on complex geometries for industrial purposes are the most difficult step for CFD engineers. HydroDADS grid generation code have made it easy.
In the Module of CFD analysis, software has the capability of simulating fluid flow in torque-converter by solving the Navie-Stokes formulation in a 3D curvilinear coordinate for laminar or turbulent regimes. This software also has the ability simultaneous solving of energy equation in solid and fluid portions and coupling of solid and fluid fields.
Changes in fluid viscosity due to temparature variation can be applied to observe the consequent changes in pressure temperature contours and operational parameters of torque-converter.

PDS (Pump Design Software)

PDS is a modeling software with the capability of modeling three types of pumps which are overhung, vertically suspended and between bearing type. This software had been developed by TN group as a fast modeling tool in related projects done by the company. Output of this software can be used in the other modeling softwares such as Mechanical Desktop and also can be used as a basis for various CFD analyses.
User of the software should have enter the following set of data:
- Hydraulic Specifications such as flow rate, temperature etc
- Impeller Data
- Diffuser Data
- Volute Data
- Thickness of solid components
- Alignment specifications such as radial distance between parts
After entering required data user can receive :
- 3D model of the pump in the format of Tecplot software
- Data sheet of the designed pump including entered data by user and computed parameters by the software
- 3D model for inspection and post CFD analysis according to the format of MDT software
